i'm not coming undone

all you want is a beauty queen
not a superstar but everybody's dream machine
all you want is a place to lay your head
you go to sleep dreaming how you would
be a different kind if you thought you could
but you come awake the way you are instead



... so what i don't understand is why its so incredibly easy to fall in love. so easy that it happens without even blinking your eyes. but i'm so tangled up in inflexible ways and the way his eyes look when he smiles and his temper that still sometimes shocks me and these stupid tears and misunderstandings that never should have happened. so, if its that easy to fall in love, why is it so hard to make that love work.
